Re: Is Panini Photogenic a poverty version of 95/96 Upper Deck?
95-96 upper deck basketball is one of the cleanest looking card designs ever. my favorite year for upper deck regular. they kept it simple and the design and photography really shine through. one my of favourite cards is the mj base of that year.

Re: Anyone sell on COMC?
Hey guys, sorry, one last thing. So I have one card that I'll be listing over 100 dollars, that's part of the "Elite" High End Consignment Service tier. I also have other cards that I'd be listing up to 100 dollars. Finally I have cards that are 20 bucks at most. So, I have three differen...

Re: Anyone sell on COMC?
My answers in bold/italic Hey dude, much appreciated. I'm thinking of sending in some graded cards which have sold for close to 1k on eBay. I've seen cards in this range listed on comc and they basically NEVER moved, well...the ones I was looking at anyway. I've also noticed that a lot of cards are ...

Re: Base Card Set Building Strategies?
If you are just building the base sets, here are a few tips that I can offer (however it is dependent on your area). I know hobby stores have people break wax and just dump the commons or unwanted cards. I've personally seen people crack whatever product, take the hits and leave the rest for the own...

Re: Anyone sell on COMC?
Got a stack of stuff I'm not sure to do with and want to sell these on COMC. Is COMC still a decent place to sell. Any stories about experiences selling? Any recent experiences? Hey Abra, I just recently lowered my remaining inventory on there to get rid of it after not selling for so long. You can...

Re: Overlooked and/or Affordable Collecting Ideas
Always been a fan of early Flair Basketball. I bought these in a lot among other things and have kept them. I love the look of these cards. Great contrast between the close-up and action shots. The colour and font selection. It looks high end, but can easily be had for a couple bucks or less per car...

Congrats on the freebies. Glad they went to another user and not the trash. Kudos to Abra for his generosity.

Re: Card Storage/Organising?
Are there any good 3 ring binders for base cards that you guys would recommend? I typically use VaultX or ZFolio 9&12 pocket zip binders for my refractor rainbows, and nicer sets, but I find these to be inconvenient for my NYGiants base card team sets. Ideally if I can move pages around and mov...

Re: Obsession with live video sales
There is the social aspect of being with others with a common interest, in this case, cards. Add the fear of missing out on a big hit with the gambling aspect and a couple of other psychological manipulations and you create what these streaming sites are doing. The main aspect is to extract money fr...

Re: ProMold mags with inner sleeve - BEWARE
For a long time, I had wanted to get one of these to put a Flair base card IP auto in. Being in Canada, these pro mold mag touches are not common and I didn't want to buy one on eBay for fear of it not fitting properly and the high price tag of buying just one. Earlier this year while visiting the U...

Re: Player Spotlight: Michael Jordan
That 95-96 upper deck is quite possibly my favorite ud card of mj. Clean design, great photography action shots. Well done UD. As for the Flair cards, those cards from the mid-90s to late are possibly the greatest designs of cards I've ever seen. Thick card stock, beautiful imagery, clean action sh...

Re: My Nuggets Refractor Team Sets
Seeing stuff like this is always a joy. Great theme and collation of cards put together in binders like the old school days. Beautiful cards. Keep them coming. @mindcycle, you are right about the 97-98 finest cards. They all look like subsets/inserts with their large headers all over the cards. When...

Re: So, where are you guys buying your cards these days?
The few random singles I buy now have been in my experience, 99% eBay, 1% COMC, and local card shows. Although oddly enough, the last few years, it's now the complete opposite. I find that getting cards in person at the show has so many more benefits. Since I primarily collect, if I see something I ...

Re: Is it fair to say Jokic is best center of all time?
Short answer: No Long answer: He is definitely climbing his way up there, but just look at these players ahead of him. Wilt, Kareem, Russell, Hakeem, Shaq. Those are my top 5 centers. He has a long way to go to surpass them. Then you have other greats like Ewing, Robinson, Malone that can't be ignor...

I've always thought UD captured some of MJ's base cards quite beautifully. The 1997-98 base and subset had two great shots of him in historical moments.

Re: Card Storage/Organising?
I like to look at my cards from time to time so my main PC is in a classic binder with pages. Cards that are too big to fit in a page pocket are either in a graded slab or one touch. Those sit nicely in a BCW Graded Card Bin Container. I'm pretty much able to fit my PC in a banker box, nice and orga...

Allow myself to introduce...myself
Hello folks, I'm generally not one to put myself out there in the online world because quite frankly, I am quite reserved and hesitant about the potential crap that exists on the internet. I've lurked around other message boards in the past, but have never signed up for them due to all the bs and ga...
