Re: PSA cucks another consoomer
I'm not surprised at all. Their sister company cardladder is only there to benefit them, ie grading your card for more based on a comp. When it comes to paying the insurance the card is always worth far less

PSA monopoly and grading prices UP
Title says it all. PSA is now bumping the cost of their bulk value submission to from $20 per card to $25 ONLY IF, you pay them even more to be a PSA super special member which is $149 a year. Without the membership it is now $33 a card for someone to look at your card for 60 seconds and decide if ...

Re: Conglomo PSA buys BGS
it's all about the money now bruh, soon cards will replace fiat currency and will be used to buy groceries and other necessities. Your kids will no longer be taught math and science in school but instead will have Geoff wilson's book as their mandatory reading so they can make fat stacks!

Now Nat is selling his exquisite 1/1 logoman of kobe and Jordan on heritage. Never thought I would see that, but when prices inflate even "real" wink wink collectors will sell

Re: So, how 'bout the latest PSA scandal :)
It will only get better when it becomes a "lame" hobby and not the illusion of it being a path to wealth. Seeing random ass cards that should be worth like $50 sell for more than my car tells me everything I need to know lol. I guarantee almost any other hobby will bring more joy these days. And you ...

Re: So, how 'bout the latest PSA scandal :)
There are a lot of fun hobbies to have in this world, this one is like wrestling with heels, and zero heroes. I thought deleting all card related social media would spare me but now PSA sticks their fat fuckin fingers in everything. Add in the P ryan & shillstein scandals- but anyone with a pulse ...

Didn't think you would be, just thought it was worth sharing.
That up-charge thread is great and it's nice to see it hasn't been hit by the blowout purge team, so far.
Definitely worth sharing, it's much appreciated. I honestly had no clue before hand.

Re: What is your opinion of Cardladder?
I'm not going to judge anyone without meeting them in person and spending time with them. I just call it as I see it though, the product is only good for one thing, and that is giving "some" past sales data that could be shilled or not paid for. I own a Myles Garrett rookie prizm gold card that got ...

Re: What is your opinion of Cardladder?
Do you think it does more harm or good for the hobby? I think if they deleted the "CL Value" is would be great, but trying to guess the value of a card seems really really stupid to me, let the collector make their own decision without outside influence.
Card Ladder and unpaid items, worth a ...

Re: Nat Turner posts IG photo with Gonblott aka Nick Uliano
I got back in around the pandemic. Working from home is great but sometimes boring so I collect to break up the monotony. Re: The Current, Lamentable State of Hobby Forums
I also wonder how these dealers are always getting new inventory, seemingly every few weeks some of these big IG accounts are always showing off their new 100k of pickups. And they aren't getting them from auctions, and they are looking to liquidate the pickups immediately for a profit. Who on earth ...

Re: Nat Turner posts IG photo with Gonblott aka Nick Uliano
Maybe it just shows the current state of things, that this doesn't even sound all that bad to me. If you're going to let 1 person or a couple pretend people hype up a card and that alone influences you to spend more, well then you're kind of to blame IMO. Many accounts on IG hype and pump shit left ...
