Thanks Dan The Card Man for basically summing this up. How many nut huggers are still getting high off Rat Turner's farts?

lmao

yeah I heard the news too, unbelievable. I'll still buy pre-acquisition BGS slabs, right card/right price, but anything after graded / slabbed after the acquisition, no go. Will also never sub with BGS ever again.

There are a lot of fun hobbies to have in this world, this one is like wrestling with heels, and zero heroes. I thought deleting all card related social media would spare me but now PSA sticks their fat fuckin fingers in everything. Add in the P ryan & shillstein scandals- but anyone with a pulse knew shill bidding was rampant

Beautifully put. Just flat out buying gold and silver is becoming more appealing to me, as this loser, his corporate clique and his cronies turn everything they touch into shit. What sucks is that this hobby brought me together with a lot of really cool people, but with each passing day it becomes less and less appealing because of shit heads like nat turner and the two losers you mentioned, pryan, shillstein, hell even dr. beckett, talking about defensive shill bidding lol, what a joke. The whole lot of them are hobby AIDS.

It will only get better when it becomes a "lame" hobby and not the illusion of it being a path to wealth. Seeing random ass cards that should be worth like $50 sell for more than my car tells me everything I need to know lol. I guarantee almost any other hobby will bring more joy these days. And you'll have more $ in your pocket. I'll always still collect but it just doesn't occupy as much time and mental energy as it used to

Same here. Funny you mention the crazy prices - I'm stunned by how much people want for certain cards...go look at Smooth Grooves, or Record Collection from Upper Deck, or High Dimensions /2000 lmao................beyond stupid for what they are.

I'm getting more into Precious Metals...............you know, the REAL kind. I'm not burning money on picture cards just because some douche bags want to fudge the market and fix prices.
