Just an update on my second try at the 1994 Test Refractor Sets.
The bigger names are with player collectors but if anyone see's any for sale or has some and wants to help with the set, please reach out.

Re: Finest Test Refractors
lol not surprised I got a lot of rare and wacky oddball stuff from him. One of them which was tough to find was the Kemp Skybox E-Motion Foil sheet cut, those are pretty neat in hand. It's now with another Kemp collector after downsizing my collection, but he had really cool stuff and was always ea...

It's a real tragedy, Dikembe did so much for others off the court. Rest easy Mount Mutombo.

Re: Finest Test Refractors
How Leximo got his hands on all of those sheet cut cards is still a mystery to me but I believe he was transparent about it. He had thounds of them at any given time.

Re: Finest Test Refractors
Very interesting... I wasn't aware of the bunch that sold recently, as there weren't any Admirals listed. Very cool getting to see pics of some of these, along with Ryan's crazy Rack Pack set! Here are mine (please forgive the poor scan on the Lottery Prize), and thankfully, without any peels 8-) ,...

Re: Finest Test Refractors
dengbang, I remember paul having a ton of these and dumping them after posting them on the Censorship Forums lol. I'm actually glad he shared pics of them, I think I still have the pics somewhere on an old hard drive. I love these test refractors. Rack Pack was one of my 'impossible' sets as a chil...

Finest Test Refractors
A collector from Australia recently sold his 1994 Test Refractor collection on eBay. It's been a decade since I've seen this many up for sale at one time. Side note, who remembers paul06901 flipping a bunch of these 10 years ago? I thought it would go unnoticed since the end time was around 9-10 am...

Re: 2024 National Sports Card Convention (Cleveland, OH)
So.. were the bathroom lines as bad a people said? I did see lines but the few times that I went, it wasn't so bad. The line getting into the parking lot was much worse imo...but again if you're the type to find a solution, it wasn't so bad. There was a bathroom that was somehwat hidden that ...

Photogenic is a good attempt though, some great action shots. I just wish some of the parallels werent so busy as it detracts from the photography

Re: Is Panini Photogenic a poverty version of 95/96 Upper Deck?
Letting a photo do all the talking is a lost art form. I absolutely love the 95 UD set. Both the front and the back. Simple logos, player profile, player stats, team logo, minimal description...one of the best base sets for me. Right up there with my favorite of all time 1995 SP. Also, who doesn't l...

Dude, this gave me such HK vibes. Congratulations on this milestone pickup, wow! BGS 9.5, red border, red away jersey. It's perfect. This set did have 'almost' every one you could want lol....almost. I remember photoshopping a Kemp, one can dream, I guess. Thanks for the kind words Abra! Some days,...

Re: A Rolling Mailday Thread (Basketball)
Over 10 years of searching, I was finally able to land this card. Before Prizm color matching got out of hand, there were very few options for collectors to find color matching cards. I remember seeing a raw copy of this card back then and instantly wanted to own one. A Bulls colored Rookie card Ref...

Re: Do you watch modern basketball and do you collect modern players?
I collect modern guys and watch modern basketball. It might not be the same as the 90's but basketball is still my favorite sport and I'll continue to watch. Collecting and watching for me will always go hand and hand so I can't imagine not buying cards of today's stars. I'm in the same boat Chris....

Do you watch modern basketball and do you collect modern players?
Being a collector from both eras, its interesting to see the dissociation of collectors of the 90s and modern era. Over the past few years I've focused less on 90s cards and more on Panini era cards. Its most likely because I still watch basketball content (games and social media vids) and enjoy pla...

Re: 90s Fake/Backdoored/Trimmed Cards
Very interesting things going on with that account. I see cards that were purchased on cardhobby (China auction house) appear on that account shortly thereafter. Sometimes the cards are relisted numerous times as well. Fake cards, shilling, and probably creating fake comps.

Re: A collecting shift; insights needed HELP!
The beauty of this is there is no right or wrong answer. I've tried many different ways of collecting and you won't know what you like until you try it. My main collection consists of MJ but because I still watch and play basketball, I have smaller collections of current players. I've collected many...

Re: Is it weird to bring a 200k collection for show at a cardshow
I'm assuming the Macau show will be a big show. From what I've seen, there are many highend collections, so I think you will be fine. Pretty sure some people set up at shows to buy more than to sell. Everyone has a different goal. I started setting up at shows to mostly connect with people in the ho...

Re: A Rolling Mailday Thread (Basketball)
Finally got around to taking some photos. Got my first hobbyboards deal done with member @FrankAZHP. Frank rarely sells so it took me nagging him a year for him to sell his 2014 Aaron Gordon Gold Mirror 😂 Sorry, Frank. I appreciate the kind gesture and the rare additions to the collection. He is pas...

Re: Is there anything from the 90s that's currently "worth it" ?
Agree with everything being said so far. I haven't won or traded for a 90s insert in a long time. I've wanted to add a 1997 Skybox Premium Thunder and Lightning MJ but even with the common surface issues, they are still selling for a couple thousand dollars... I think people are just moving their mo...
