NBA is Back!!!! Pre-season thread

I know this is a hobby focused board, but it would be weird to not at least talk about the active season. I have watched 5 games so far and it looks like we are in for a volatile season.

- Rockets looks really good and the league made a great choice to have OKC vs Houston as the ring night/opening night game. Sengun just continues to looks better every time he steps on the court. Him and KD mid-season 2-man game is going to be fun to watch.

- Wemby looks healthy and ready to get a 5x5 every night. Curious how they handle the rest of the rotation Castle, Vassell, Fox and Harper all should see significant minutes. Harper is most likely the odd man out to start the year.

- The Bulls need to lean on Matas immediately. Giddey and White are fine and good pieces to have on a playoff team. Matas needs to be the guy and allow him to grow. The best thing the Bucks ever did was allow their young star to not be held back my middling veterans early in his career.

- Bucks are going to be a roller coaster but I love the addition of Turner. He can do everything Brook can, but he is more athletic. The guards are a question mark, but I think KPJ is a good basketball player, bad person. Hopefully he continues to play good ball and continues to mature and show remorse for past mistakes.

-Cooper Flagg looks like the game isn’t too fast for him. Just naturally understand the game.

Preseason is always fun but it's mostly for the bench guys to get their feet wet.
Going to be a fun season even though there are some injuries already.

Miami could really see their youth blossom this year too. 21 year old 7 footer Kel'el Ware and 22 year old 6-10 Nikola Jovic both look great right now.

Ware has looked great. Picked up 2 of his Optic Blue /49 for pretty cheap. I think he has a shot to be a key player on that Miami team once they decide that Bam/Herro isn’t the future of that team.

Brice Sensabaugh looks like he might be a player. Would love to see how he looks with Lauri in the lineup. Not sure why Svi is getting any minutes at this point in his career.

Ace Bailey is playing well to start the preseason. Seems like some one the pre-draft and Summer League commentary was just “slow news day” nonsense.

KPJ and AJ Green put together another solid game. Green is my ultra biased long shot MIP pick for this year. He has an opportunity given the minutes he will be given, and the shots available after Dame left. The Bucks will need him on both ends of the court.

Last note, the beam has been extinguished in Sacramento. Whoever built that roster needs to be thrown into the Delta. It makes no sense. I hope there is a team smart enough to grab Keegan Murray for cheap when this team starts the season 5-10.

I was aware of him because of being a McDonald's All American but I underestimated him. I should have stacked some of his good 2022 Topps Chrome McDonald's All American cards, but according to my spreadsheet I've only got 1 Lava Refractor /399 and out of the 29 autos I collected for that year I didn't get one for him when I had the chance all day at $5 each and now they're $20 each lol.

Number one team I'm looking forward to watching this year though.

I like Sengun he plays like a 30 year old with his IQ and he's only 23.
Love him or hate him the loss of Dillon Brooks kinda sucks for their overall Defense and enforcer status, and Jalen Green could be missed.
I dunno how I feel about the Durant trade. I respect KD but he doesn't work everywhere so who knows how it will turn out.
Steven Adams is one of my favorite human beings in the league right now, though dude's getting old
I'm very fond of Amen Thompson from his OTE days and would love for him to get more playing time.
He's already got an explosive step and athleticism, he's great on defense.

This team has so much potential it's crazy even with VanVleet out for the year.
