I know there's a rolling mailday thread, but let's see some 90s cards. From super aesthetic low end to what is now considered high end. Let's see what you've got. Should be able to click the pics for a link to the gallery, for some reason when linking/embedding photos, the quality is lower.

A couple of my favorite sets already highlighted here. Good ish.
It’s also worth noting that Prodigy refractors do not green. Beauty of a set.

There’s a guy on BO selling one but the ask is insane.

Only have Penny left from this set. Love the contrast between the foil center and glossy border on these

Oh wow, didn't know that about the Prodigy refractors. Learning something new in this hobby everyday. Thanks for sharing that.

Love the G. Hill - this is one of the most colorful sets out there and a joy to look at. I remember being disappointed when I got the Kemp and realized that it wasn't a dual layer card where the metallic / etched part was part of the back layer, like the EX-L cards.

Those cards are groovy! Nice card. Great thing about Walker is that he's got so many amazing cards and they're fortunately not super expensive. I wonder if there are color variations from card to card on the Soul of the Game cards, i.e. 94/95 TSC Beam Team?

Fun topic idea. Given I know
AbraCalabro is not fond of 90s Topps I'll leave the Topps post for later and do everything but Topps for now. Mostly random embossed inserts I like enough to keep
1995-96 Skybox Meltdown
My all time favorite player in a beautiful foil. Pics don't do Meltdowns justice.
1996-97 Fleer Flair Hardwood Leaders
I think these were 1 a pack, so they were easy, but they were clean.
1996-97 Flair Class of Ninety-Six
Insert set I hand collected in the 90s because of it's beauty. Weren't tough to pull, but are dope nonetheless.
1997-98 Ultra Heir to the Throne
My #2 PC player of all time. I was chasing this in packs back in 1998. Ended up with it, but somehow over time part of the embossed paper on top rubbed off or peeled off on a sleeve or something (dunno). I'll eventually replace it, but it's too cool and won't leave the PC.
1997-98 Z-Force Boss / Super Boss
Who could forget the Boss and Super Boss sets? Easy to pull but still catchy. Embossed. During the pandemic I sold off most of the hand collected set and Super Boss extras I put together back in the 90s but still kept a few.
1997-98 Z-Force Fast Track
Insert set I completed because it was so cool with the fuzzy lettering. Like some other insert sets I sold a bunch of them during the pandemic, but kept a few including this.

Great cards so far everyone! I’m going to throw in a couple I don’t think have been covered yet.
This is late 90’s, 99-00 to be exact, but greats cards and great set. This is the Topps Gold Label class 2 / red label parallel /50. There were three classes to these and even the base look great imo. Definite Flair Showcase vibes with the picture in picture design.
Here’s two 98 Chrome inserts. Instant Impact and Newcomers. I liked the insert designs that year since it retained the “90’s-esque” design with the crazy colors/“swirly” backgrounds for lack of a better way of describing it lol, but also managed to keep them from looking too overly early 90’s.

Wait a sec, aren’t they dual layered though? A couple months ago I took some pics comparing them to the Natural Born Thrillers because I thought they were basically the same template (and dope as hell together).

Yessir! Lot's of nice 90's Walker cards that don't break the bank. And As for The Soul Of The Game card, from what some buddies told me and minimal research LOL, there are different color variations from card to card.
Love all the Kemp cards you're posting. He was one of my favorite non-Celtics player to watch back in the day because the Mid 90's Celtics was awful.

Wow, I completely forgot Heir to the Throne is embossed. For whatever reason I don’t think I’ve seen one of those in hand since release.
Here’s a set that I didn’t really appreciate until later on when I got one in hand…

Covid pump sale? If so I don’t blame you, I should’ve sold a LOT more stuff than I did. Could’ve bought nearly everything back with money to spare.
I can’t remember if I posted this here before, but let’s just say I was happy with the BIN price.

lol, your thoughtfulness is appreciated
That Hardwood Leaders brings back so many memories man, I love 95/96 releases in general, but the Hardwood Leaders set is one of the first ones I ever completed. I also remember being pissed off that they included Payton instead of Kemp.

100% Agreed and probably just as confusing for newcomers lol. Class 1, 2 and 3, Row 0,1,2, etc. But those are beauties, Dice was actually probably my third favorite player, Kemp, KG, Dice.

Those are neat. Certainly nicer than the Flair rookie set from that year, which had water inside the cards lol.

Nothing fancy, but growing up I remember these were very tough to pull/find in good condition. Both are highest grade and the TMac is pop 3. I dont care much for grades but this was the first set that I found to be condition sensitive.
