Always like this Metal look similar to the post earlier. Something about all the colors.

Great McDyess auto! I really like his full signature. His shortened version that he's been doing the last 10ish years or so it fine too, but his full sig was awesome IMO.

I would also add that 95 metal was arguably the best year. I know everyone raves about 97 since it has the red/green PMGs, but the 94 and 95 releases were more definitely 90's looking and I almost like them more because of that, lol.

What a beast of a card! This brings back so many memories, the Dice was one of my favorites and I side collected him when I was a kid and even a few years back. One of the most exciting players out of that draft for sure. Thanks so much for posting this.

The 95/96 release is absolutely the best one in my opinion, I'M right there with you. LOL @ the red and green PMGs, such garbage cards...actually, I even hate the design of the base cards. The dumbest looking cards trying to make some kind of comic book / spaced out / sports hybrid type of thing and the best part is they couldn't get it right, although they did manage to put together a winner with their Gold Universe insert set. I could go on about how shitty 97/98 Metal was/is/always will be, but I'd digress too far.

Love the silver spotlights too, I was thinking of building this set, with all the inserts, but then I remembered how massively inflated everything is and there's a few MJ inserts, easy pass on that prospect. The Molten Metals are absolutely stunning in hand, I have a lot of love for the Slick Silver set as well, super colorful, exciting player action shots...just can't beat it. Just LOOK at the colors on the Dice...man, I might have to buy the Rookie Roll Call set...I remember Brent Barry winning the dunk contest too. Memories dude...

Thanks! Grew up in San Antonio and it was always fun to watch him and Tim battle each other when he was with Denver. I got this at a game and always used to try to find the best cards to get signed when teams would come into town. This one was an obvious choice. I wish i knew then a bit more of the prep you could do to help it look a little better. Then he came to SA for a while to round out his career and that was cool.

Hell yea, love this set (and Dice) too. Was one of the earlier cards I had posted on investagram.

Nice! Awesome card man.

Sadly the IG pumpers got to these an even the commons are going for a lot nowadays. I'm glad I got most of the cards I needed for my Nuggets team sets years ago.

I posted a series of non Topps stuff and said I'd post Topps later. Here ya go. Chronological order.

Tried to stick with inserts only and left out parallels. Was selective depending on what I have photos of. Some of these photos are old and shitty and I need to take new ones.
Did not include Season's Best. Those deserve their own post or something lol.

1995-96 Topps Pan For Gold.
Took me forever to find a Majerle for my PC back in the 90s which I don't have a photo of yet.
Pics don't do this card justice. It's not flashy. Just a nice foil.
Image

1996-97 Stadium Club Class Acts
I like double sided cards with players on both sides. Especially when they're refractors on both sides.
ImageImage
ImageImage

1996-97 Stadium Club Top Crop
More double sided with a great rainbow on both sides.
ImageImage

1996-97 Topps / Topps Chrome Youthquake
Like many Topps inserts that were made for both paper & chrome, you could argue the paper Youthquake is better than the Chrome. I have no photos of my paper ones right now.
Image

1996-97 Topps ProFiles (by David Robinson)
Great rainbow wheel foil loaded with HoFers
Image

1997-98 Stadium Club Triumvirate & variant names depending on sport/refractor
ImageImage

1997-98 Topps Bound For Glory
Great rainbow foil. Entire 15 card set is all HoFers now. Good prediction from Topps on that one.
Image

1997-98 Topps / Topps Chrome Destiny
Another set you could say paper Topps is better on (unless you have a Destiny refractor maybe). I don't have any photos of paper Destiny atm and my Marbury has a nice blob of green lol
Image

1997-98 Topps Generations
Great die cut gloss coming out of paper Topps packs. Refractors are gorgeous too would love to pick one up at some point.
ImageImage

1997-98 Topps Rock Stars
More glossy die cuts with refractors coming out of paper Topps packs only. Great stuff.
ImageImageImage

1998-99 Stadium Club Triumvirate
More of the same from previous year. All great. Except when attempting to sleeve.
ImageImageImage

1998-99 Topps / Topps Chrome Apparitions
Great foil in paper Topps, decent Chrome base, great Chrome refractors. Another perhaps better in paper Topps.
ImageImageImage

1998-99 Topps Chrome Back 2 Back
Nice Chrome silver in 7 card set all HoF
ImageImage

1998-99 Topps / Topps Chrome Coast To Coast
Yet another great set that is probably better in paper than in Chrome. 7 of the 15 are HoFers.
ImageImage

1998-99 Topps Cornerstones
Great rainbow foil. One of the nicest looking insert sets. Somewhat easy to pull from what I remember. Only 5 of the 15 are HoF now.
ImageImage

1998-99 Topps East/West
The best of the double sided Stadium Club stuff, but in paper Topps packs, with all gloss, and great refractors! <3
ImageImage
ImageImage

1998-99 Topps Emissaries
Nice foil. Hard to get photos of. Doesn't do justice. Reminds me of the Pan For Gold from 1995-96. 15 of the 20 are in the HoF now.
ImageImage

1998-99 Topps Kick Start
Beautiful rainbow foil with young stars set like the Cornerstones. 6 of the 15 are in the hall.
ImageImageImage

1999-00 Topps All Matrix Team
More of the Kick Start / Cornerstones style. Can't go wrong with that.
ImageImage

1999-00 Topps Chrome Highlight Reels
Colorful and shiny with some great refractors. 8 of the 15 in the hall plus many fan faves.
ImageImageImage

1999-00 Topps Patriarchs
Great rainbow foil similar to others above. All but 1 of the 15 are in the hall now.
ImageImage

1999-00 Topps Prodigy
Wish I had a refractor of these as they are amazing. Still great Chrome die cut out of paper Topps.

Thanks dude - one of my favorites without a doubt. Definitely one of his key RCs, couldn't get myself to crack this one out because of the old BGS label...if it was a PSA though, I'd have cracked that shit out in 2 seconds. lol

Thanks bro, damn I had no idea there were IG douches pumping these. How long has that been going on? I've seen Flair Legacy prices in general SKYROCKET...I was getting cards of super stars for like 50 bucks or less and semi-stars in the 20-30 range, non stars for like 5 bucks lol. I'm sitting on a monster stash of Legacy cards and just like you, I'm glad I got them when the getting was good.

I remember pulling one of these as a kid and it was mind blowing, it was the Rodman. I also pulled a Barkley Showstoppers which was so amazing.

The Apparitions cards have really grown on me, I have the Kemp TC Refractor /100 and was thinking of selling it a while back, but as I mentioned, it really grew on me, so I decided to hold on to it.

I'm also with you on the Youthquake...honestly I have no idea what they were thinking not doing refractors, but they goofed the same way with previous chromium releases, Rack Pack, Cornerstone, Lottery Prize, 95/96 rookies lol. The original wood stock Youthquakes from the paper Topps flagship packs are way better for sure.

Great selection of cards Frank! Goes to show that you don't need a PMG/Ruby/etc.. if you just want to own a great looking card.

Yeah it was only a matter of time after they went through the PMG's/Rubies/plat medallions, etc.. I don't go on there as often nowadays but i've definitely seen more Legacies posted in the last 4-6 months. In my eBay searches i've also started seeing way more graded Flair Legacy than just a year ago, meaning these are going through the flipper circles as well now.

In one regard i'm glad to see these get more love. The issue is the pumpers always tend to ruin all my 90's set chases lol. Especially where I need like one or two more cards that never show up and suddenly commons are costing 5x. I'm patient though. Some of these teams sets i've been working on for close to 15 years at this point so a couple more won't kill me I guess..

^ Love the Topps selections.

I also have some early memories of the Pan for Gold set, and oddly enough it’s also specifically with the Rodman. Still have the same exact beat up copy. I loved the subdued foiljob on the mine entrance back then and still do now.

But to this day my favorite Topps inserts are the diecuts - Rock Stars, Generations, Prodigy, Triumvirate… and they only stood out more because they were found in paper flagship Topps / Stadium Club, like you mentioned.

That vince and those Topps are such a great display. Something about the coloring of 90s cards seems vastly superior than coloring schemes today.

Here's a cool little run from 98/99 UD flagship. The Game Jersey card is a repeat, but since I have both blue and black cuts, figured I'd share those as well. If the image sizes are too big, let me know.
