Logoman!

Hi all,

I'm looking to acquire a logoman of my PC player Kemba, its high on the want list. However due to the fact majority are 1 of 1s, when presented with an opportunity to acquire one it is NOT CHEAP

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on panini logomans (game worn), are they a good store of value? Or just another card the collector will be financially hurting on?

My main worry is that they appear to be in alot of products now and have lost that overall rarity and appeal as they are in most products. I think the exquisite and ultimate ones in the 000s are truly desirable, but have trouble seeing panini in the same light.

Kemba has about 25ish true logomans in total released over his 10yr career so I so have some faith.

Any comments from people who have acquired or hold logomans would be appreciated

This is coming from someone who owns several Panini era logomans and really likes them, but my honest option is that they are too expensive nowadays. I think the heyday for those was prior to the pandemic when prices were reasonable and demand was a lot lower. Nowadays we're seeing not only player collectors chasing them, but also guys with big pockets/social media presence who are trying to grab whatever shows up. That's fine and all and I get why they are coveted and chased hard, but at some point the supply will catch up to the demand and these will come back down to earth.

I could certainly be wrong, but with Panini's recent Flawless release and there being a ton of logomans they either keep upping the number in every release like they are doing now, or eventually they dump them the last year like UD did when they lost the license back in the late 2000's. Where there was logomans /10 and stuff like that, lol

Ok cool thanks Ryan! I was kinda thinking the same. The current release of flawless has really watered it down and is not pleasing to see. I get they have mem stock to use prior to the expiry of the licence but its just dilutes the appeal for the collector imo.

In review of all the thoughts above, I still want one haha. The price is too high, but then again it's a 1 of 1.

I'll le all this marinate some more.

I don't blame you at all! I think a logoman or logoman auto is definitely one of the top cards for any player PC.

I think if you can trade into one or sell enough to come up with funds, that's always the best way to do it. I've done that for pretty all over my logomans of Nuggets players.

I still like logoman patches, even if people are veering away from them at the moment. If it's something you know you want for sure, I wouldn't worry too much about the long term value. Also, it looks like Kemba has at least 5 logoman parallels that are not 1/1.

You might want to do a little probing ahead of time to make sure there are no set collectors going after the ones you want. For example, I'm pretty sure someone on IG is chasing the /3 set.

I really Court King Level IV myself. I like CK in general so those are a fun chase. But tbh, I haven’t purchased CK in quite awhile due to all the sticker autos in recent years, but that’s a whole other issue, lol

2017-18 Panini Essentials Platinums has been my set chase for years now. I’m like 17 away from the set. So I’ll add those to the list as well.

I'll give this some more thought. I do know of a location of a 2013 NT /5 and yes I'm sure I know which IG account you are referring too that is putting a set together by the looks.

I am specifically looking at a 2018 immac 1 of 1, to me, from initial research appears to be his final release in a hornets uniform and during his career yr in which he made all-nba (albeit the patch from a prior season possibly). The above is what has drawn me to this specific one. The 2013 2/2 mem au one is terrific! And currently listed on ebay, however this seller is non contactable .

Appreciate all the feedback and POV. Ill see what I can come up with and keep you informed
