My auto collection has been really selective. These are my only Penny autos, but they’re all from favorite sets. The only others I want that are still attainable are his SOTT Silver and 1996 SPx Tribute auto.

Personally I'm a huge fan and chasing the multi year Spectra Hall of Fame signatures, 45 card set of blue ink on card shiny stock prizm autos.
Also can't beat 90s Autographics, and these 05-06 Trilogy Auto Focus with their "glass stock" are beautiful, especially in a nice one touch (the scan from TCDB does not do the Frye justice)

I've got a ton of autos I need to photograph. Here's what I found of what I did snap photos of:

Underrated embossed gold foil set full of pack pulled HoF autos:
Image

Reprint autos are great:

I've got a few Amen and Ausar Chrome autos from the first two years of OTE Chrome. This only one with a photo:
Image

Traded for this back in 2002 or 2003 so from a friend:
Image

My favorite one of the bunch. "Fan Favorite Autos" of my all time fave player in the 1993 Football/Baseball design.
I wish this had been signed in silver ink instead of blue so I could see it a bit better but oh well nothing's perfect.

Sweet autos guys,

deadshot, that Marquee Marks is a real gem!

duron, Sick Pennies, the SPx is an icon and SOTT. I used to have a Dice way back.

FrankAZHP, great selection, I don't think I've seen that first Barry before, that's super unique. What year was it released?

In 1995 Action Packed (whom I loved for their Football cards) did a "Hall of Fame" set similar to the Hall of Fame set they made from 1993 but the 1995 set had redemption/signature autographs inserted though and had some big names including guys who didn't sign often like Bill Russell and coaches like Bob Knight and John Wooden.

The major difference between the signed and the base, is the base has a gold facsimile signature on it, and the signed ones don't have that facsimile on it at all but are signed in silver ink. Card numbers are the same. The base also was a 38 card set and didn't have cards 39 (Cousy) and 40 (Russell) like the autos did.

There's 39 total autos (was supposed to be 40 but Pete Maravich didn't sign) and has some great names.
Link to checklist on TCDB

Some of them aren't the cleanest autos, as Action Packed cards were heavily embossed. Still super cool, and often overlooked and underappreciated.

I've got a few others besides the Barry. The Connie Hawkins is particularly cool because he often shortened his signature with something with "Hawk" and on these he signed in full.

Also these are super tough to photograph because of the embossed nature and the gold foil. I did a bang up job on my photos lol

UD Legendary Signatures. 7 down, 2 more to go. Hoping to pick-up the Bird & Russell in the future to complete this Celtics set.
Gonna be tough though, both those cards are Short Printed and go for a high price. Someday.

UD Black Ticket Autos. The gold holofoil, the gold etching and gold auto. It's so pretty!

I mean look at the shine on this thing.

And my favorite KG auto. So sharp & clean and i Love KG with the no.1 hand sign.

Great write-up and thanks for sharing your knowledge. I like to learn about obscure stuff like this that is seldom seen.

Your photos are actually great, I thought they came out very nicely. ;)

This set has never gotten a ton of attention but I have always really liked the design. The backboard in the design is clear acetate to simulate an actual backboard. They're fairly rare too being /25, with no parallels.

And then here are a few others that I love as well

Here's another fairly rare one that Panini gave out at one of their industry exclusive parties. I've seen a sizzle reel from the party where Nembhard is signing a pretty small stack of them. I'd estimate 30-50 cards. I've only seen like 4 of these pop up on ebay.
