They look awesome, very 90s. I think I like cards that are shinny and dynamic rather than like the logoman or auto patch, too simple.dengbang wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2023 3:28 am Not everyone's cup of tea, but as a 90's collector I do enjoy these particular Panini parallels.

Very nice Gordon, the color match makes the players pop even more. I had the gold Gordon and loved his pose, reminds me of the unnatural rookie photoshoot poses they make the athletes do lolvintagepacers wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2023 5:31 am These are definitely special to look at in hand. I think the only one I still have left is an Aaron Gordon Mirror Blue RC /74. The color match with the Magic jersey looks amazing.
This is just a scan so it doesn't really do the card justice. I'll have to get a pic soon.
Thanks, appreciate the kind words.darz90scardz wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2023 6:23 am Sick pics deng. Making me want a Penny now, ideally the blue.
What would his gold go for at this point? Couldn’t really find comparable gold sales.
Thank you, sorry thought I replied to your comment. I am the same way, I like cards that are shiny and detailed. There's some nice ones out there, these are probably the shiniest ones from the Panini era.siuwongkee wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2023 4:16 am They look awesome, very 90s. Awesome man. Will send you a PM.
Nice run, you only have a few more to go! I didn't start until later as well so I doubt I can finish my Kawhi run...need the two black 1/1's.
Nice! Yeah just lmk if you run across it. I have a couple other Nugs players I think but not Faried.
I do have it indeed, looking to trade for other Mirrors or anything that is shiny lol
That's a beauty. Congrats on landing that PG 1/1, I believe there's a 2015 Holo Blue 1/1 floating around IG too.
I didn't pay any attention to the set when it first came out, but I bought a gold one over 3 years and have been collecting them ever since.tastycardsandwich wrote: ↑Sun Jun 18, 2023 10:10 pm And well, when I got them in hand and moved them back and forth in the the light - especially the Ginobli - I was like "Ah. I get it."
Definitely a cool set. That said, I don't see myself chasing any. But if I stumble on any like I did yesterday, giddyup.
Nice Marcus! I've seen the green mirror variation and the color match fits very well with this set.TranquiloCards wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 9:05 am It took me a while, but I finally managed to snag a die cut of this set and I'm glad I did. The deep colors on them are absolutely worth checking out in hand.
Not dumb at all, I was confused at first too. Mirror's are similar to refractors/prizms. These parallels were made for 3 seasons; 2014-15, 2015-16, and 2016-17. In 2014, they had base color variations as well called platinum, which is basically a non mirror version and wasn't die-cut. The other two years only had mirror parallels.SacKingsCards wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 12:52 pm Great looking cards, I do especially like the die-cuts. Maybe a dumb question here: what years or features make these mirror parallels? I think in 2017 or 2018 they changed Totally Certified to using in game photography, are those years also considered mirrors?
Thanks for the info! So to follow up on that...how are mirrors different from refractors/prizms?dengbang wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 1:17 pm Not dumb at all, I was confused at first too. The simplest way to explain it is that it has a thin layer of refractive foil finish on top of the embossed surface. It's somewhat difficult to explain because there's also elements of speckled flakes to it. If you zoom in to the photos from the first post you can see the mirror finish on the embossed letters and numbers. Refractors and prizms are flat and have a rainbow shine under a layer of clear coating. Hope that explains it a bit better, but ultimately you'd have to see it in person.SacKingsCards wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 4:54 pm Thanks for the info! Wow! The 2015 Golds are one my favorites. Have you put the card under sunlight? It shines different, there's a purple glow to it lol
I own three of the Lebron golds and haven't been able to locate the rest. Have you been able to locate any of the other PG Golds? Congrats on landing 4 though, that's quite a haul already.
I know of one other in a fellow PG13 collector's pc. Wow, 3x LBJ....Amazing! Here are some more nice gold mirror from my pc.
