Analysis of 2009 Upper Deck Game Used All Star Cards

As you all are probably aware, in 2009, Upper Deck lost their license for basketball and dumped a large amount of memorabilia cards onto the market in that year's sets. This including a large amount of All Star Game worn memorabilia, which Upper Deck has always loved using. Since I have a humongous amount of free time this summer, I decided to analyze these All Star Game cards and see what game they were from, if they were from an event, and who wore them. I looked at the two main sets that came to my mind; 2009-10 Upper Deck and 2009-10 SP Game Used, and from them I looked at 6 sets that contain cards with swatches from various All Star games dating from 1971-2007 with around 40-45 different players involved in around 185-190 different cards, these vary from ASG jerseys to Rookie Challenge jerseys to possibly warmups. You can check out my google doc detailing these cards here:

Let me know if I missed anything/made a mistake and ill try to revise it as soon as I can, thank you for reading :)

This is an AMAZING resource. I saved it to my computer! One suggestion to consider...if you put the players one per line (under each year), it might be a lot easier to read/reference in the future. Thanks again!

Thank you for your feedback! I can't lie, I was a little inspired by your analysis of specific patches and where they came from. I'll work on putting the players under one line when I get back, I see how that can work. I appreciate your response :)

BONUS: After posting this, I did some errands, including visiting my LCS where I got some cards including Six Star Swatches Gold /65 (#_NMDCBI) along with its certificate, which claims the Nash and Iverson swatch were from the 2005 All Star Game. The Nash looks like his jersey, but the Iverson does not match at all, maybe from warmup.

This is absolutely incredible stuff, you can feel the labor of love involved. Y'all are motivating me to try a patch project with my patch set I'm building.

Good luck identifying the source of the Iverson material, please keep us updated!

I'm pretty sure the AI is part of the in-game warm-ups they wore (as opposed to the standard team warm-ups they wore during introductions).

I think you're right! Thanks for noticing, and thank everybody else for your feedback. I'm thinking of expanding this and also creating a new ASG material timeline but with cards from my collection and interesting stuff I've found online, including one coming into my collection very soon.
