I know a lot of people like photography in Topps Stadium Club and TSC has its moments, but I don't think even TSC stands up to 95/96 UD flagship.

Letting a photo do all the talking is a lost art form. I absolutely love the 95 UD set. Both the front and the back. Simple logos, player profile, player stats, team logo, minimal description...one of the best base sets for me. Right up there with my favorite of all time 1995 SP.

Also, who doesn't love the use of an electrified emoji person as a parallel before people knew what an emoji was 😂

Photogenic is a good attempt though, some great action shots. I just wish some of the parallels werent so busy as it detracts from the photography

Agreed lol - I do also like the little EC Gold dude, reminds me of the AOL guy lol

I had high hopes for Photogenic, but as you mentioned, way too many parallels for something like this - also some of the photos are not all that great, or over used.

Saw the recent Kemp one and oof............awful photo. Also, no photography on the back. Another bummer.

This bothers me about the new products. On some of the earlier Panini stuff, they used different pictures on the back. Then they started using the same photo as the front. Then it became a team logo with some sort of a write up. Now in a lot of cases, it's just a team logo. There are some cards with no write up at all (and my guess is AI is probably doing some of the write ups we do get).

lol I wouldn't doubt it, it's a shame they're so damn lazy and that they overdo their winning products with parallels, one or two...hell, even three, FINE...but EVERYTHING has 20 parallels or more, everything has a 1/1 and as you mentioned the card backs have been in decline. It doesn't take much effort, but they cut every corner they can. I've also been turned off of a lot of their GU stuff because there's no real guarantee that it was game worn by that player, i.e. manufactured number 88 jerseys. I digress.

The backs of the 95/96 UD stuff have amazing photos, sometimes rivaling the front photos.

Seems like they got some decent photos for some players, other players, the photos they chose make me wonder just what they were going for.

95-96 upper deck basketball is one of the cleanest looking card designs ever. my favorite year for upper deck regular. they kept it simple and the design and photography really shine through. one my of favourite cards is the mj base of that year.

Some poverty versions of 95/96 Upper Deck pick-ups!
I've been enjoying picking these up for the binder and i have to say, they choose some nice images for the Celtics.

One of my favorites from the line also, they got such a great snap shot of him for the base. MJ's second best card from that set for me is the Slams and Jams, but tough to top card number 23!!!
