A Rolling Mailday Thread (Basketball)

I thought it would be nice to have a rolling mailday thread for everyone to share their cardboard and memorabilia pickups. So please feel free to share your pickups.
Here is my addition to the thread.
2012-13 Flawless Gold patch /10 of Isaiah Thomas. You really can’t beat a jumbo game used nameplate patch paired up with that amazing gold holofoil. This card was lost in the mail for over 2 weeks. I’m so glad it finally arrived. There’s some damage to the foil around the patch window, but I won’t complain about it.

Here’s another one I got in the mail today. My first Crowder post on HB! It completes a 9-card rainbow for me.
2020-21 Recon Platinum 1/1

My favorite 2 recent pickups:
When I was a kid (around 10 years old) my dad took me to a card shop and bought me the box set of the 1992-93 Upper Deck Team MVP Holograms. I beat them to hell and parted out the set years later.
Being nostalgic I picked up this Jordan for the PC. Missed out on a cheap PSA Shaq RC from the set last night.
Other than that, I was happy to pick up a Penny RC recently. Need to add a ToppsGold to the collection next.

Just got these two in the mail today, Jae'sean Tate 14/15 and Keldon Johnson 23/25
The Keldon Johnson patch is from the Spurs 2021-22 City Edition Jersey, theres also an NBA Auction which I'm pretty sure is the jersey where the patch is from:

That would be awesome if that's the source material for the Keldon patch! You'll have to watch out for some of the tag parallels for more clues.

Great cards so far everyone!
I got these two in this week.
14-15 Spectra Orange Gary Harris RC jersey # 14/25
83 Star Kiki Vandeweghe RC BGS 9
It’s pretty hard to find these with good centering so I was pretty excited to land this one.

As an Australian collector of a retired player who nobody in my country really collects, my mail days are very few and very far between. Yesterday this one arrived after about 9 months abroad. It’s like 5 Christmases in one. I’ve separated my bigger purchases from my lower level cards, although all cards are loved equally! Trying not to rush through the organising and enjoying every second of it.

From Hobby Kings...to Blowout...to The Hobby Boards!
I thought I would launch my account here, with an old fashioned mail-day post. My 25 year collection journey has evolved from collecting modern cards of active players, to focusing on modern cards of HOF to more recently heading down a vintage rabbit hole. Over the weekend I took delivery of my first card from 1957 Topps; an ungraded Harry Gallatin RC, that I was able to pair up with his 2007-08 Chronology Autograph (picked within the first 12 months of the sets release).
Discovering that back of the card was 'upside down' initially threw me; but some subsequent browsing of graded copies on COMC and eBay suggested that this is pretty common with this set and down to how the set was laid out for printing.
You never stop learning in this hobby!

Alright… let’s see if I can master the photos
Got three in yesterday… the plus version and warp Tek of this Kobe
And this atomic refractor that I actually had to buy twice unfortunately because usps decided it was delivered when reality proved otherwise…
I also just bought the Shaq so the only card left for the set is Jordan… wish me luck!

Glad to have you here man! When I first started collecting that 57 set I was definitely confused about some of them having upside down backs lol. Great cards and thanks for sharing!

These 2012 flawless patches /10 are brilliant!
Need to get myself a Kemba one day

I thought I saw a Kemba recently, but it might not have been a gold. I probably would have tried to make a run at it if it were.

Got my first ever Crowder Flawless patch in the other day. He's in both the jumbo patch, and the dual patch sets for 21-22 Flawless. I have a few of the jumbos waiting for me at Card Hobby. This is the first one I've been able to get in had from the product. I don't really like the dual design. It's clunky and awkward.

Still a great card, but yeah I agree. The dual aspect of it just seems out of place. They should have used that whole space for a single patch. Would have looked much better.
I was eyeing a Gallinari but passed due to the weird look lol.
