Hi Card Friends!

I've been chasing the 1998-99 Fleer Brilliants Gold /99 set for almost a year now and am currently at 112 out of 125 cards.

I'm still searching for:

11G Nick Van Exel
24G Toni Kukoc
26G Joe Dumars
36G John Starks
41G Mookie Blaylock
43G Tim Hardaway
44G Jim Jackson
47G Voshon Leonard
65G Bryon Russell
102G Mike Bibby
104G Antawn Jamison
109G Dirk Nowitzki
116G Bryce Drew

Please hit me up if you have any or know someone who does.

I'm also open to doubles if it's a condition upgrade.

That is incredible progress on an incredible set chase. For a late 90s parallel with 125 cards, it's impressive how much progress you've made in not even a year. And here i am going on like 4 years for a 26 card set lol have you had to make sure to snag any copies that pop up of those you still need or have you been able to hold off on paying for ones you felt have been overpriced, etc?

Thanks!

This set chase has definitely been my primary collecting focus since I started. No comment on how many times a day I check my eBay saved search. :)

It's been a blast though and I've found the hobby becomes a lot simpler when you identify a project you're truly passionate about.

I've actually been able to get all my copies at reasonable prices, i.e. market value. Nobody has tried to gouge me and in fact it's been quite the opposite as fellow collectors have been incredibly supportive of my chase. The only exception is the Dirk Nowitzki Rookie, which I still need. I have come across many copies and there are a number on marketplaces right now. The problem is they have all been either 2X or 3X overpriced or have such bad condition issues they just aren't "The One" for me. So I'm still trying to find the right copy and the search goes on.

Ahh, I definitely know where you're coming from on that Dirk. I have three cards left in my set and I've had similar issues with two of them, one of which is Dirk ironically enough. The Dirk has lots of nameplate patches and the Klay has a lot of multi colored Warriors/bridge patches with no stitching. I'm personally a fan of letter and number patches so I passed on those, but I think enough of the print run are the nameplate/bridge patches that I might just have to cave to whatever shows up next. Good luck finding the Dirk at a reasonable price and condition for you, along with the rest of your set needs!

Hi All,
Great idea for a post!

I am currently set collecting 2012 Prizm Basketball Silver Prizms, ungraded or mint (gems are out of my price bracket)

Here is a picture:Image

Still have over 205 left! So if you have any you are looking to move, let me know.

Love the Stat Lines set, you didn't want to go for the booklets?
Another similar set is Courts Kings Performance art, nicely designed and memorabilia pieces have and exact worn date.

I'm not big on booklets and it was probably too late for me to jump in on those. I like the Court Kings stuff, too. A lot of it is contingent on me already having some of the big players.

This is no longer an active chase but I was just reminded of this by another Hobbyboards thread. Here’s the 94-95 Jam Session Slam Dunk Hero set I put together years back with the help of Abra and Charly41 from BO (@charlyriceforever on IG). Abra traded me every card except Kemp because I heard he likes him or something. Then a bit later on charly sent me the Kemp for free.

Excuse the old, shitty group pic.

Hot damn, those still look amazing. I still wish they would make one touch mags for these taller cards.

If anyone has any of the 2001 FLeer Nameplates patches sitting in a box, I still need four:

Michael Finley
Gary Payton
David Robinson
John Stockton

There is a Finley online but there's barely a patch, it's mostly jersey.

A bit of a different animal, but I’m working on the Lamar Odom rookie card set (1999). If you have something /50 or less there’s a chance I need it!

Some off the more reasonable ones top of my head:
- Ultimate Victory 100 Parallel
- UD Rookies Illustrated Level 2 Quantum Gold
- UD Hardcourt baseline grooves silver
- Portuguese Panini Sticker
- SkyBox Apex Xtra
- Stadium club Illuminator
- Bowman’s Best Best Performers atomic
- Black Diamond Final Cut
- MVP Super Script
- UD Standing Ovation

Pricier/may bite or not right now:
- Rubies
- Class 3/NS red label
- Century Marks/Rock Steady auto
- Prime Time auto
- Credentials

07-08 Topps Copper/50 (181/185)

Ugly, super weak design and terribly incomplete player selection, but 16 years in and I'm down to 4 cards. Any help tracking them down would be greatly appreciated.

None of the 4 I'm listing are the '57 Variants/50

#5 Jason Kidd/50
#31 Shawn Marion/50
#70 Luke Walton/50
#84 Chris Webber/50

I have tons of doubles of these Copper for trade, and would go heavy in your favor for any of the above 4. Also, I don't expect this set to start getting love, but If anyone ever does consider putting this one together, please contact me.

Have you tried Sportlots? There's also a newish site called BSC that might work well for some of these chases. Good luck!

These are all so great. I'm currently 1 card away from completing my 1996 autographics set chase. I only need Clyde Drexler. There is one sitting on eBay for a $300 BIN, but I'm resisting the urge and waiting for a copy that is a little bit more affordable.

Currently have 405/500 possible and 33 completed player rainbows.

Just finished the Bird today, the cards look like this:

It's a 100 card set and the base set and parallels are broken down like this:
1st quarter (blue/base)
2nd quarter (red/36)
3rd quarter (purple/24)
4th quarter (green/12)
Overtime (black/5)
I just got my first one of these a few weeks ago and they are so cool. I love a nice acetate card.

Nice! Love that set. I've picked a few of those rainbow parallels (I think they're called correct?) over the years. Might have one or two of those for you.
