It's been awhile but here's another page.

1999-00 Topps Finest Gold Refractors /100

All still have the peel because if you peel you're a monster.

Very pretty page of cards! I'm sure I knew this but it never quite jumped out at me Finest's design variety in the 90s. Obviously you have the first couple years with the borders, the 1997 we discussed last page, and then shifting to full bleed game photos in 98 and 99, then the variety of non-bordered backgrounds from thereafter. Sorely missed variety year to year.

Also, I don't really own any cards with peel, but I think I would absolutely peel

1999-00 Bowman’s Best Refractor & Atomic Refractors

I still need a Van Excel Atomic if anyone has one for me.

The atomic refractors this year were a bit underwhelming but still look ok in person.

2000-01 Topps Finest Gold Refractor /100 - Nuggets Team Set


Missing the Keon Clark if anyone has one.. Two Nick the Quicks in there until I can find the Keon.

This release included a Mamadou N’Diaye RC in a Nuggets jersey ever though he never payed in an actual game for them. My guess is they used a photoshoot photo for this card. Scroll left for a close up.

2001-02 Topps Chrome Refractor + Black Refractor /50 - Nuggets Team Set






This was the first year of parallels in Topps Chrome basketball with the black refractors numbered /50.

Second to see where the Kenny Satterfeild black is hidden..

2002-03 Topps Chrome Refractor & White Refractor /249 Nuggets Team Set




Chrome this year was ok. Its shiny, check, design is decent, check. That said I was disappointed by the fact that they only featured 5 Nuggets players, 3 of which were rookies. Photo choices remind me of lazy Prizm with 90% dribbling photos lol.

Still at the end of the day it’s a decent set and featured RCs of Yao Ming, Manu Ginobli, Amar Stoudemire, Nene, among other great players.

2003-04 Topps Chrome Refractor, Black Refractor /500 & Gold Refractor /50 - Nuggets Team Set










First year Topps Chrome gold refractors along with it being LeBron, Carmelo, and Dwade’s rookie seasons will likely always define 03 Chrome. Aesthetically, I still prefer the black refractors this year. I don’t think they got chrome golds right until 06-07, but maybe that’s just me..

I also wish there were more Nuggets players in this set. Where’s Earl Boykins, Chris Anderson, Voshan Lenard, or even Tskitishvil?

Did the addition of gold refractors help define Chrome moving forward? Most definitely. It was a welcomed addition and had collectors chasing what would become a staple parallel for any player PC.

I cracked the Melo gold in 2020 after buying it a year or so earlier. I will usually try to find a raw copy before I crack just due to the value decrease of cracking, but no luck searching for over a year. At the end of the day it’s fine though. That card isn’t going anywhere and my kids can regrade and sell or whatever they want to do once they inherit all this junk..

2004-05 Topps Chrome Refractor & Gold Refractor /99 - Nuggets Team Set





I also have the black refractor set but it’s not in the binder so too much work to photograph lol.

This is one of my least favorite Topps Chrome designs tbh, but they did have a ton of Nuggets players included that year so I like that! Arthur Johnson’s RC. I don’t remember how much playing time he got but it was very little. We waived him the same year he was drafted I’m pretty sure.
