An Analysis of Panini’s Tim Hardaway Memorabilia Cards

Post by Deadshot »

I did a little digging this week and discovered that Panini is using 3 jerseys for their Tim Hardaway relics.

The first jersey is the Heat jersey they're used for all the prime Heat relics. I matched that up to a Grey Flannel auction using the 2012 Immaculate Marks set.

The only Heat card I've seen that doesn't use a Heat relic would be *some* copies of his Preferred Silhouettes (black relics are Heat and white relics are Warriors pieces).

Speaking of Warriors relics, Panini has used 2 different Golden State jerseys for Tim Hardaway.

All of the pre-2016 releases use this jersey from Grey Flannel:

While this jersey from the Coby Karl collection is mixed in for all releases after that:

I explain all of this in a lot more detail in this 20-min video:

Yeah this is awesome. I really enjoyed watching that analysis. You have a real talent for memorabilia-related investigative journalism. I wonder how many of those silhouettes use the Warriors jersey; if I were a Hardaway collector and those Warriors jersey silhouettes are rare I think I would find them uniquely desirable even though I also typically prefer the memorabilia to match the jersey pictured on the card.

It makes you wonder how many times card companies have substituted another team's relics in place of the pictured team. Now that I think about it, the white jersey isn't even the same style of material Miami used for their white jerseys!

These threads are great, hopefully a Kemp thread is planned for the future, I'd love to know where some of my patches were originally located on the respective jerseys.

I've got a couple I can send pics of if you'd like. I think the Flawless double patch is from the K and the number 4.

Also have a Cavs jersey...I think it's from the number 4.
