That supernova tatum looks nuts. I dig it.

Re: Finest Test Refractors

I know it did sell for a little bit less than how much Bryan (shipmycards) sold it for a while back. It's just one of those cards that you have to pay up when they come up for sale, I suppose. I know you've been collecting Penny for a while so I'm surprised you've never spent $999+ on a card. Even ...

Ooooh damn, that is a sick Vince ultimate. Nice pickups all around though, love the mcdyess spectrum, great action shot.
Not familiar with that highlight reel set either, but same goes for the photography.

Re: Finest Test Refractors

I saw the Penny sale. Apparently, according to the guy who sold it to the eBay seller, it took about a 1k haircut.

Would love to own it but there’s no way I’m dropping that much even at a “discount.”

I’ve never spent 4 figures on a penny and I hope to keep it that way, lol.

^ I saw those vater sales, but no I got it from Blowout. Old Chesapeake was looking to sell his Finite collection without breaking up, which included over 200 Spectrums. A few of them were dupes including the /350, but he was adamant about not splitting. Asian62150 wound up buying the lot and reach...

Re: A Rolling Mailday Thread (Basketball)

My latest card arrived today. I am very happy to add a nice 1 of 1 card from Upper Deck to my collection. I know, there are parallels 1 of 1 cards out there, but hey, it is still a 1 of 1. To have or not to have, that is the question for a collector like me. Here is my card: https://live.staticflic...

Re: 2023-24 Topps Chrome Basketball discussion

Gotta love how the Frankazhp and greenstiller mockups crap on the actual Topps execution. Outside of the bad photo and design choices, something I don’t think I’ve heard mentioned is how they don’t fully etch their cards anymore. That’s a huge problem in itself. You can see this with the new Finest ...

Closer look at some of the Skybox Premium inserts over the years. I'll do Ultra next, the comparison should be interesting. 93-94: Thunder & Lightning Dynamic Dunks Center Stage 94-95: Revolution Slammin Universe Center Stage 95-96 (greatest etched foil year/product ever): Meltdown Larger than L...

Re: What are your favorite sets / products?

Eventually I’d like to make a more fleshed out post in terms of products, but if I could only pick one it would have to be Skybox Premium. I don’t think they had a single dud release until 00-01, which by that time was “Fleer Premium.” My runner up would be Fleer Ultra. There are other products wher...
